If you are one of the following and would like a benefits check, please contact us to speak to an adviser.

  • living outside the UK
  • living permanently in residential care or a nursing home
  • in prison

If you have a low income, you might be able to get help to pay less Council Tax from a Council Tax Reduction scheme. 

You can use the Citizens Advice Scotland Council Tax Reduction Tool to help you find out whether you are exempt from having to pay council tax or you are eligible for a discount or reduction in your bill.
